GenevaLogic Introduces Key Pad Access to Vision Classroom Management Software Key Capabilities at Teacher's Fingertips

PORTLAND, Ore., & LANGENTHAL, Switzerland – April 3, 2007 – The Vision Teach-Pad, an enhancement to GenevaLogic’s Vision® classroom management software™, launched today. Now with push-button control of all classroom computers, teachers will find it even easier to use Vision to teach with technology.

GenevaLogic’s Vision is the first classroom management software to introduce “push-button” access to its most frequently used capabilities. With the touch of a button on the Vision Teach-Pad, teachers share their computer screens with the entire class. Then using another button, they blank all student computer screens and lock the keyboards to secure student attention for a lesson. The Vision Teach-Pad also allows teachers to lock and unlock student Internet access with just the touch of a button.

“Educators tell us that Vision is the single most important software in their classrooms because it allows them to effectively integrate the other available technology tools into instruction,” said Kirk Greiner, chief executive officer, GenevaLogic. “Now with the addition of the Vision Teach-Pad, we know they will find it the easiest to use as well.”

To use the Vision Teach-Pad, Vision6 must be installed. The key pad connects to the teacher’s computer via a USB connection.

The Vision Class Kit includes a Vision Teach-Pad. In the Vision Class Kit, GenevaLogic bundled its most popular products into an easy-to-use kit at a cost-effective price. In addition to Vision, the Vision Class Kit includes two popular plug-ins, App-Control™ and SurfLock2™.

In addition, the economically priced Vision School Kit and Vision School Kit Plus now also include three Vision Teach-Pads for schools with fewer than 1,000 students and five for schools with 1,000 or more students at no additional cost.

The Vision School Kit includes school-wide licenses for Vision6, App-Control, SurfLock2, and Pointer™. Teacher training materials are also included in this package. With the Vision School Kit Plus, schools customize their classroom management software system by adding either Protect-On2™ for student desktop security or Print-Limit Pro™ for school-wide print management.
