Core Learning has received acceptance of its corefx Three Level art and creativity software program by the California Learning Resource Network (CLRN). CLRN is an agency of the State Department of Education that evaluates and reviews instructional materials to ensure compliance with state law and to ensure proper correlation to and support of state curriculum standards. corefx Three Level is now being listed on the CLRN website (www.clrn.org) and with the listing, the program is eligible for purchase by California schools with the use of funds from the California Department of Education.
Core Learning’s corefx Three Level has also been adopted by the South Carolina Board of Education as supplementary resource for K-12 Visual Arts. With the state adoption, corefx Three Level can be purchased under special pricing established by a six year contract between Core Learning and South Carolina’s Department of Education. corefx Three Level is the only art and creativity software program adopted by the Department of Education and thereby eligible for purchase with state funds. The contract will commence in the spring of 2008.
“We are thrilled to have been granted this adoption,” said Doug Hatch, President of Core Learning. “corefx Three Level is an award winning software program that enhances curriculum while continuing to promote individual artistic creativity. It is an essential addition to traditional visual arts education and it has the additional benefit of developing technology skills. With its capability of managing the most common digital files it can also be used by teachers to present a wide range of digital learning objects. This new contract will greatly facilitate utilization the of this terrific program by schools across South Carolina.”
The South Carolina submission was the second opportunity for Core Learning to submit corefx Three Level for state adoption in Visual Arts. Alabama also holds a six year adoption contract with Core Learning that commenced in April 2007.
corefx Three Level has earned two prestigious Distinguished Achievement awards from the Association of Educational Publishers: Best Art Software and Most Innovative Software.
