All the Right Type 3 has been recommended as a "primary" resource for Elementary Keyboarding!

arcais | 18 July, 2007 11:46

All the Right Type 3 has been recommended as a "primary" resource for Elementary Keyboarding by the Utah State Textbook Commission/ Utah State Board of Education.

Evaluation team comments: All the Right Type 3 is great for use in the Elementary Keyboarding program. All of the core standards and
objectives are covered. There is immediate feedback on speed and errors. A variety of games and practice are available in the software, which was extremely easy to install and use. You can change the size of the font and adjust for spacing after the period, which many programs do not have.

The ability to use any word processing program that the school has available is wonderful, rather than using a "made for the program" word processor, or basic word pad. Students can transfer their skills right into using a standard word processing program.

Rubric results:
*Accurate information reflecting current knowledge.
*No content bias.
*A wide range of activities to accommodate various developmental levels at a reasonable pace and depth of coverage.
*Content is organized so prerequisite skills and knowledge are developed before more complex skills.
*Appropriate use of font size and format for intended grade levels.
*Menus are easy to use and follow.
*User-friendly installation requires a minimal level of computer expertise.
*Manual and directions are understandable.
*High quality audio and visuals are correct and contribute to overall effectiveness of the program.
*Information is current and up-to-date.
*Enhances learning experience.
*Adds depth and diversity.
*Provides some ways to adapt curriculum to meet assessed special needs.
RECOMMENDED PRIMARY -  Instructional materials that are in alignment with content, philosophy and instructional strategies of the Core; may be used by students as principle sources of study; provide
comprehensive coverage of course content; and support U-PASS requirements.

And that's just the start – there are numerous other exciting applications of the program."

Lots of ready-made curriculum related activities and templates are included with Clicker Paint. Others might work on a butterfly symmetry activity or create their own sea creature stamps to add to their sea life picture.

Although it has a powerful set of painting tools, is fully accessible and boasts incredible levels of customization, Clicker Paint is extremely child and teacher friendly.  Like other Crick products, Clicker Paint will be supported by ready-made materials at their highly popular LearningGrids.com website.
