JourneyEd has expanded from serving higher education into the K-12 market. In February, JourneyEd acquired CCV Software and has created two divisions: A higher-education and a K-12 division. CCV Software has become the K-12 division within JourneyEd. JourneyEd.com is the leading multi-channel software marketer to the K-12 and post-secondary academic markets, which include students, faculty, staff, educational institutions and public school districts. Its Academic eStore Network (AEN), which includes more than 15,000 online eStores, offers thousands of market-leading software and technology products, including those published by Microsoft and Adobe, at discounts of up to 85 percent off retail prices to verified academic buyers.
"There is very little overlap between JourneyEd and CCV Software," said Michael Fischler, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of JourneyEd.com. "JourneyEds core business has been in the higher-ed space. CCV Software's core business is in the K-12 space. Together, we now have a comprehensive solution for both K-12 and post-secondary institutions."
The acquisition will not affect either company's customers or access to academic pricing. Ultimately, customers will benefit from a larger product selection, improved customer service, and new programs that weren't available to them before.
