Imaginova, a leading science and technology digital media and commerce company, has released Starry Night Elementary School, a ground-breaking space science curriculum solution for grades K-4. The software was created for first-time science teachers and experienced instructors searching for a visually captivating and academically rigorous method to introduce astronomy to elementary school students. Each lesson follows science content standards, engages multiple learning styles and seamlessly relates to other subject areas such as language arts, fine arts, math and social studies.

Starry Night Elementary School helps teachers fulfill their curriculum requirements through in-depth lesson plans that correlate with national and state curriculum standards. Professional science educators developed the lessons, which were then tested in classrooms. The astronomy and earth science topics are suitable for each grade level and include concepts like day and night, the motion of the sky, our solar system and constellations. The lessons are supplemented by DVD multimedia content, interactive computer exercises and simulations, hands-on activities and reproducible materials. The data from Starry Night Elementary School software, including the new elementary version, can be displayed on Spitz's SciDome and Learning Technology Inc.'s STARLAB digital planetariums.
