PG Music Inc. has released PowerTracks Pro Audio 12 (Academic Pricing). PG Music Inc. President Peter Gannon said, “We're excited about this release of PowerTracks. The new Audio Chord Wizard in PowerTracks Pro Audio 12 (Academic Pricing) is amazing; it figures out the chords from .mp3 or .wma files. Just open up an .mp3 file, tap in the tempo for a few bars, and you have the chords to the song! RealDrums instantly creates drum tracks, in many styles, from authentic audio drum recordings instead of MIDI drum patterns. This sounds so much better than MIDI drums; you’ll likely never want to hear MIDI drums again!”
PowerTracks Pro Audio 12 (Academic Pricing) continues to offer unique features seldom found on similar programs at any price. PowerTracks Pro Audio 12 (Academic Pricing) is loaded with features found in top studio programs, and adds even more features of its own. Here are just a few of the new features in PowerTracks Pro Audio 12 (Academic Pricing):

Report on Hotmath 1 Year Subscription for One Class (Academic Pricing)
Introduction
What is the best way to teach math to high school and college students? Conventional classroom teaching has included explanation of the subject matter accompanied by a limited number of examples, after which students are assigned unsolved problems to work out. Recent research has investigated the effect of increasing the use of "worked out" examples of math problems, and the results have revealed that this teaching method produced more effective results (Carroll, 1992 & 1994; Ward, & Sweller, 1990; Pass & Van Merrienboer, 1994). This manuscript includes (1) a brief review of research findings suggesting that providing students with worked out examples is more effective than the conventional math instruction method (2) a discussion of the probable reasons for this effect (3) comments on what this body of research suggests for teaching today's math students, with specific consideration of a recently developed math-learning resource, Hotmath.com.

While MTCO’s previous hosted anti-spam service was doing a basic job of filtering spam and fighting DoS (denial of service) attacks, new image-based spam was slipping through. This spam was choking their email delivery. Service interruptions would bring inbound email to a complete stop, then flood and overwhelm MTCO mail servers when service resumed. In addition, the inbound filter service provider didn’t offer outbound security, requiring a separate appliance-based vendor. That meant the added paperwork inherent in two suppliers, plus the extra effort and dual monitoring to eradicate spam emanating from zombie PCs. While spam statistics were available, they didn’t provide detailed data to help MTCO systems engineers diagnose and solve problems. MTCO found a lot of their time and resources were spent managing spam instead of providing more value for their customers. It was time for a change. MTCO turned to Red Condor as the email security provider to get them the full service they needed.
