FreeHand System's MusicPad Pro Could Drive Market

mary | 15 March, 2007 07:34

From Billboard Magazine 2/17- The Publisher's Place - by Susan Butler

The comparison isn't just hype. The company's device appears to be the only portable touchscreen unit that musicians, composers and students can display and work with digital sheet music.

MusicPad Pro is a computerized device with a portable stand so it can be set up like sheet music sitting on a music stand. It's about 13 inches long and 10 inches wide. By inserting a memory stick containing the digitized sheets, the music appears on the screen. The user can either work with the titles from freehandmusic.com or the user's own music scanned into software and transferred to the device, which also works with a wireless network.

With a tap or a slide of the finger, the professional musician or composer can make a vareity of changes to the music on the screen. For example, just a few taps can change the key for the entire score, shifting every note within seconds.

Written by David Basulto

Where do I begin? Some things in life simply get better with age. Wine, cheese, and Cinema 4D by Maxon! As many of you know, Cinema 4D became one of my favorite products last year. Finally I was able to grasp a 3D program! Not only was Cinema 4D easy to learn and extremely user friendly but it is extremely powerful! I was blown away needless to say and have become a bit of an addict (along with After Effects!) to this great program!

Just when I thought Cinema 4D couldn’t get better, guess what? It got MUCH better! New is version R10! Just wait until you see what’s under the hood!
